Darren Hamilton knows the history of the storied flying missions of the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard as well as anyone in Hangar 102 on Saturday afternoon. A Bellville native, the current wing commanding officer joined the 179th as a C-130 crew chief 37 years ago, rising through the ranks after becoming a pilot in 1995.
